News in brief - 3 December 2024

Rosemount Financial Solutions (IFA) has made a series of new hires. Hrutuja Patnekar has joined as full stack developer, having recently graduated with an MSc in artificial intelligence from the University of St Andrews. In her new role, she will be tasked with integrating and leveraging AU into the tools provided by the networks to streamline workflows and help advisers deliver data-driven services to their clients. She will be joined by Ash Yavari, who is an experienced UX/UI designer, who has worked for Watchstop and Norweiganlog and will work to design Rosemount’s new website. Calum Anderson also joins the firm as a social media and marketing assistant.

Shepherds Friendly has appointed Phil Nash as chief sales officer. He is joining the mutual society with over 25 years of experience in financial services sales, having developed relationships with a range of brokers, advisers and IFAs. Nash joins Shepherds Friendly from UnderwriteMe, where he served as sales director. He has also held positions at ActiveQuote, AIG Life and Royal Liver. In his new position, Nash will work to increase Shepherds Friendly’s market share and brand awareness with intermediaries.

ONP Solicitors is set to open its first office in Cardiff to serve both Wales and the South West of England. Expected to open in early 2025, the new office marks a step in the conveyancing firm’s strategic growth, with up to 100 new roles set to be created over the next year. ONP is actively seeking team managers and property lawyers to work in the new office. The Cardiff location will join ONP locations in Stockport and Leeds.
