LHV Bank has moved into new, larger premises at Wellington Place in Leeds, supporting its digital-first, technology-led growth.

The building is also home to Lloyds Banking Group, Rathbones and Equifax.

The bank said its key factors for choosing Leeds as a location includes access to a “wide and highly skilled people” supported by a strong university base, the major regeneration of the city, and it also being the home to the Financial Conduct Authority’s northern regional base.

SDKA has appointed Alex Swan as its new head of underwriting.

He joined the business in May 2023 as a underwriter and has moved through the ranks to a senior leadership position, where he will now oversee the underwriting function and play a key role in the future direction of the business.

Sharon Penter, whose role has expanded since joining the business as administrator in 2024, has taken the title of operations manager, while Chris Simpson and Josh Draper have been promoted to senior underwriter and underwriter respectively.

The Right DA Club has announced that Shepherds Friendly has been added its protection panel, providing access to its income protection proposition.

The income protection proposition offers clients up to 70% of their income if they are unable to work due to illness or injury.

Shepherds Friendly’ addition to the panel provides member firms with another option for clients whose health, income and protection requirements may differ considerably, while adding further choice to the club’s existing protection panel.

TAB has secured a £200m funding facility from a challenger bank, providing additional institutional capital to support the growth of its commercial mortgage and bridging operations.

The facility will support the lender’s core commercial mortgage and bridging propositions, TAB Mortgage and TAB Bridging.

The new facility is TAB’s third funding line and supplements an existing institutional facility provided by global investment manager, AB CarVal, and money raised from high-net-worth private investors.
