Buckinghamshire Building Society has appointed Georgia Smith as a new telephone business development manager (TBDM). She joins The Buckinghamshire from Hinckley & Rugby Building Society, having honed her skills in sales management, broker communication and business development in her seven years at the firm. As a TBDM, Smith will serve as the first point of contact for brokers, offering guidance on the society’s product range. She will also assist with applications, provide product insights and offer broker support.

MPowered Mortgages has reduced rates on its full suite of fixed rate mortgages, following the cut of the base rate by the Bank of England. Two-year fixed rates now start from 4.34% at 60% LTV with a £999 fee and at 4.59% with no fee. Three-year fixes are available from 4.14% and 4.29% at 60% LTV with a £999 fee and no fee respectively. Five-year rates now start from 4.29% and 4.43% at the same LTV with a £999 fee and no fee respectively.

Lisa Martin is set to step down from TMA later this month. The news comes as the firm’s parent company, LSL Group, said that structural changes will bring opportunities for synergy across its brands. These changes include a combination of teams internally to deliver an enhanced broker experience.
