Nottingham Building Society has made a further enhancement to its lending criteria, widening the range of builder incentives it will accept on new build mortgage applications. The society will now accept developer incentives of up to 5% of the property’s value across its residential lending range, via its IDI Broker Portal, to support borrowers purchasing newly built homes. The Nottingham said the move building on enhancements when it confirmed that foreign national and returning expat applicants could use new build developer incentives of up to 5% towards their deposit.

Tembo has announced an enhanced version of its Home-Saver account, increasing its underlying variable interest rate to 4.75% AER. When combined with the 1% AER ‘Tembonus’, customers can earn a 5.75% AER when they save and take out their mortgage through Tembo. The digital savings and mortgage platform said it built its HomeSaver product to give a much-needed boost to would-be buyers and homeowners facing a difficult market, helping them to save faster and secure competitive mortgage deals all from one app.

Skipton Building Society has launched a new 4.25% 5-month ISA, available to both new and existing customers. The society allows customers to open an account with between £500 and £1m with no partial withdrawals. Savers can pay in up to the current ISA allowance, with ISA transfers in accepted until 15 April. Customers can choose either annual or monthly interest options, and accounts can be opened online, via the app, in branch or by phone.
