Access FS partners with The Protection Coach

Access Financial Services (Access FS) has entered a new partnership with Matt Chapman, who is known as The Protection Coach.

The former adviser turned specialist trainer has built a reputation for helping advisers transform the way they talk about protection by focusing on purpose, personal goals and real-life client outcomes.

Chapman’s coaching approach centres around confidence, clarity and consistency, with an emphasis on helping advisers have meaningful conversations that lead to better long-term protection decisions for customers.

The partnership is designed to support Access FS’s national network of more than 280 mortgage and protection advisers, who collectively serve over 20,000 customers.

Over the next nine months, Chapman will work with Access FS’s managers and mentors, giving them coaching discussions that explore a client’s life plans, financial vulnerabilities and long-term aspirations.

The partnership comes at a time of "rapid growth" and investment across Access FS, the company said. The mortgage and protection brokerage has expanded its adviser community in recent years, doubling numbers through its academy programme.

The business has also reported record performance with its mortgage division posting 38% revenue growth in 2025, and advisers completing 23% more loans year-on-year.

Chief executive officer and founder at Access FS, Karl Wilkinson, stated: "Partnering with The Protection Coach is a game changer. Matt is at the top of his game and is set to help our advisers have goals-based conversations – rather than just selling. His approach fits perfectly with our mission to support advisers in delivering positive customer outcomes."
