Hanley Economic Building Society has appointed Paul Learoyd as chief operating officer (COO).

He joins the society with extensive experience across the building society and wider financial services sectors, spanning operations, mortgage propositions, technology and major transformation programmes. In his new role, Learoyd will oversee key areas of the society’s operations, ensuring its technology, processes and controls support colleagues and members while helping to deliver its wider business plans.

He has most recently served as digital programme director at West Brom Building Society, having also worked in senior roles at Admiral Money, Pepper Money and Saffron Building Society.

Fleet Mortgages has launched a new range of Renters’ Rights Act resources, designed to help advisers support landlord clients as the next stages of the legislation are introduced.

The new resources are available through a dedicated Renters’ Rights Act page on Fleet’s website, and has been developed to provide advisers with practical information about the changes, key dates and areas they may wish to discuss with landlord borrowers.

The service will be introduced regionally across England, beginning with the West Midlands on 15 December. The East of England will follow on 15 January, with the South West being the final region to enter the scheme on 15 August 2027.

RAW Capital Partners has become the latest firm to join L&G’s Ignite platform.

The integration allows brokers using the platform to assess clients against the specialist lender’s lending criteria for its buy-to-let mortgages.

RAW Capital Partners joined L&G’s mortgage club lender panel earlier this year, giving club members access to its bespoke loans.

Equifax UK has been selected by Nationwide to power its in-app credit score feature for over six million users.

The solution provides a verified, digital view of a customer’s credit score, enabling the organisation to deliver added value and digital innovations to its members.

The integration gives users full control over their individual experiences and delivery, encouraging users to regularly check their credit score.

Chetwood Bank has opened its new London office in Tower 42.

The move follows a period of continued expansion for the digital challenger bank, which has achieved a £7bn balance sheet.

The new office sits alongside its other office locations in Fleet, Manchester and Wrexham, strengthening its footprint across the UK and giving the bank a central city base as it enters its next phase of growth.
