Mark Harrison has joined Untangled as chief commercial officer.

He joins the specialist lender in legal finance with over three decades of experience. He has held roles at Bank of Scotland, Merrill Lynch, GE Capital, Hamilton Greig and Stretton Capital, most recently serving as managing director at Breeze Capital.

In his new role, Harrison will be responsible for sales and distribution across all core product areas.

Nationwide has reduced rates by 0.15% for new and existing customers across its mortgage ranges.

As a result, its lowest fix for new and existing customers looking to move home starts from 4.48% at 60% LTV on a two-year fix.

On its first-time buyer range, rates start from 4.82% on a five-year fix at 90% LTV with a £999 fee, while its remortgage range includes a three-year fix at 4.94% at 60% LTV with no fee.

United Trust Bank (UTB) Asset Finance has recorded its strongest-ever lending performance in the first seven months of the year, delivering 53% growth in lending volumes compared to the same period last year.

Despite record application volumes, UTB has continued to deliver over 90% same day credit approval and an average of 24-hour payouts, even at month end.
