News in brief - 17 September 2026

Monmouthshire Building Society has been added to Paradigm Mortgage Services’ lender panel.

As a result, member firms can now access The Monmouthshire’s range of residential and buy-to-let (BTL) mortgage options, which are available across England and Wales.

Paradigm firms will also benefit from the society’s dedicated team of field and telephone BDMs, while it has also recently invested in a new loan origination system designed to make the mortgage application and approval process smoother and quicker.

Pepper Money has launched a new five-year fixed BTL product range featuring a 2% product fee, with rates starting from 5.70%.

The launch gives brokers and landlords longer-term product options, helping advisers offer customers more choice and payment certainty over a five-year fixed term.

The new range is designed to support both individual and limited company landlords at a time when the BTL market continues to be shaped by higher borrowing costs, evolving regulation and changing landlord strategies.

FinTechOS has partnered with Saffron Building Society to deliver its full end-to-end mortgage origination platform covering the full lending lifecycle.

The deployment spans broker registration and management, decision in principle through to full mortgage application, underwriting, offer and completions across their full product range, and integration with its Finova servicing platform.

Saffron Building Society has been serving members since 1849, and now has total assets of £1.5bn and more than 118,000 members.

Leeds Building Society has launched an exclusive 6.5% regular saver product for its existing members.

The 12-month account is available to existing members who have held a savings account and completed a mortgage with the society on or before 31 December 2025.

The minimum balance is £100, with a maximum balance of £3,000 plus interest. One withdrawal is permitted per calendar year, with interest paid on maturity on 1 November 2027.
