SDKA has appointed Laura Perry as underwriter, bringing more than a decade of experience spanning commercial mortgages, regulated mortgage processing, underwriting support and operational management to the role.
She takes the role having established a track record in managing complex customer pipelines, developing processes and supporting high-volume finance operations.
Perry previously worked at Together Commercial Finance, most recently serving as commercial auction fulfilment processor. Beforehand, she also held the roles of personal finance mortgage processor and commercial operational support.
Glenhawk has completed a £1.12m refurbishment loan secured against a Grade II listed, boutique hotel in Bath.
The loan was to an experience developer, and the property was purchased below market value, offering 80% loan-to-purchase price day one, plus 100% of refurbishment costs at 66% LTGDV.
The loan allowed the borrower to acquire the property and bring it up to a high standard, with the exit by way of term debt.
Michael Walsh has joined Pepper Money as regional development manager for Scotland.
Based in Scotland, Walsh will work closely with intermediaries across the country, helping them access specialist lending solutions for customers whose circumstances may not fit the traditional high street lending criteria.
He brings more than 25 years’ experience in the intermediary mortgage market, joining Pepper Money with extensive knowledge of both mainstream and specialist lending. Most recently, he spent more than six years as a business development manager at OSB Group, supporting brokers across the residential, buy-to-let (BTL) and bridging sector for both Precise Mortgages and Kent Reliance.
Paragon Bank has reduced rates by 15 bps across its fixed rate BTL mortgage products in both its core and tailored propositions, with pricing starting from 3.40%.
The reductions apply to two- and five-year fixed mortgages for purchasing or remortgaging single self-contained properties, HMOs and MUBs.
Two- and five-year fixes start from 3.40% and 4.80% respectively on Paragon’s green mortgage range, while for landlords financing HMOs and MUBs, two- and five-year fixes are available from 3.55% and 4.95% respectively.
